Mon Health Surgical Services is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Emanuel Mejias Lafontaine to its dedicated team of physicians. Dr. Mejias Lafontaine will be practicing as a General Surgeon in Morgantown.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Mejas Lafontaine to the Mon Health family. He is a valuable addition to our fantastic team of surgeons and will certainly benefit the patients we serve,” said Dr. Krystal Atkinson, Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Nursing Officer of Mon Health Medical Center.
Dr. Mejias Lafontaine graduated from Universidad De Puerto Rico, Recinto de Rio Piedras before completing his medical degree at Universidad Central Del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. He completed his surgical residency at Hospital Episcopal San Lucas, Ponce Health Sciences University in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery.
"I am thrilled to be part of the Mon Health family,” said Dr. Mejias Lafontaine. “I want my patients to feel safe, comfortable and confident under my care. I have trained in robotic, bariatric and laparoscopic surgery and wish to provide the community with the best of care in this field.”
