Mon Health Surgical Services Welcomes Dr. David Randall Hofius

Dr. Hofius graduated from Gannon University and the University of Pittsburgh before completing his medical degree at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO. He completed his surgical residency at Community General Hospital in Harrisburg, PA. He is board-certified by the American College of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.
“It is my intention to focus on robotics. Robotic surgery is essentially traditional minimally invasive surgery on steroids. With the better 3D visualization and enhanced instrument manipulation, this leads to improved patient outcomes. As a surgeon, this is very exciting for me and my patients,” said Dr. Hofius.
