Highland-Clarksburg Hospital Opens Voluntary In-Patient Unit

On Monday, May 6, Highland Clarksburg Hospital Inc. (HCHI) is opening a 20-bed voluntary behavioral in-patient unit.

HCHI, an affiliate of Mon Health System, is a private, non-profit behavioral health hospital in Clarksburg, West Virginia providing acute, comprehensive psychiatric and substance abuse services to patients across North Central West Virginia and surrounding areas.

The new voluntary behavioral in-patient unit is an adult unit providing services for patients aged 18-64. This unit will initially focus on recovery from mental illness, including bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. In this setting, patients will have group and individualized therapy services available, as well as medical services to treat mental and behavioral health diagnoses. 

Patients will receive personalized treatment plans within a treatment team setting, as well as on- and off-unit therapy in group, individualized, and family settings. Tobacco cessation therapy is also available during in-patent treatment.
